Akimbo Clothing did a thing. Took the Salt Lake City street feel. Put it on a hoodie. And linked it to Brigham Young. Not a forced collab man. The Akimbo Club came from Utah anyway. So this was going to happen.

Fabric is a brushed cotton blend. Pick it up, you feel the weight. It’s not light. But wear it and it doesn’t cook you either. That combo is hard to find.

The fleece inside is soft. You can wear it on bare skin. No itching. I wore it myself, no itch.

The Brigham Young graphic sits on the chest or back. Kept subtle. Not a loud print yelling at people. People who know, they’ll notice. Everyone else doesn’t care.

Brushed cotton blends fear two things. Hot water. And dryers.

Washing:

Turn it inside out first. Print and fabric texture last longer this way.

Zip the zipper fully. Leave it open and the pull tab swings around. Scratches your other clothes.

Cold water. It’s always cold. Hot water tightens cotton fibers. Then you pull out a hoodie that fits like a crop top. I made this mistake once. Now I only use cold.

Mild detergent is enough. Don’t overpour. Extra soap makes fabric stiff.

Don’t wash with jeans or towels. Too rough. They’ll pill the fleece. Other tees and sweats are fine.

Drying:

Flat is best. Drying rack. Chair back.

If you must hang it, hang it upside down. Clip them. Hood pointing down. Water goes down. Weight won’t stretch the shoulders.

Dryer? Lowest heat only. Pull it out slightly damp. Let it finish flat. A full dryer cycle hardens fabric. Flattens fleece.

And skip fabric softener. It coats fibers. Feels slippery one day. Then ruins the fleece.
